How it works
art-Ful is a fun and inspiring place to come and make something cool.
It is a fantastic place to do something with the kids, get together with a group of friends, or arrange a team or group booking.
Someone will always be on hand to share an idea or offer some advice. Best of all we charge no studio fees and we never will.
art-Ful is a great place to bring a group to celebrate or to get a bit creative, you can just pop into the studio for pottery painting. We also have a clay table, book a time to come and and make something out of clay, then come back to paint it once it has been fired.
Please book for 5 or more seats.
We accept all major credit and debit cards.
A proud Mum of 3, resident artist and owner of art-Ful ceramic studio.
I must have been asked a dozen times what inspired me to start this business – this seems like a good place to answer that question.
I have a first class honours degree in fine art and have always been passionate about the benefits that can come from creative activity.
The business idea formed from one simple question: “What can I do with the kids in Worthing when the weather is bad?” The answer was “Not much….”
So a day out with the kids it certainly is. But, actually art-Ful is far more than that.
My perfect night out is sitting around with a group of friends making something cool. Whether that’s painting a plate or covering a stag head in decoupage, so long as a glass of wine is involved I am a happy lady. So I have created a space that adults will want to come and escape from their everyday stress.
Music and decor are really important to me and I have worked hard to create a bright, colourful and relaxing space.
I have a strong belief in the positive effect of creative expression through art. This business offers everyone in Worthing a chance to get art-ful regardless of age or ability.
Hopefully this has given you some insight and I look forward to welcoming you at the shop really soon!
After spending 7 years studying art and design, My academic journey ended in Suffolk after working on my degree in fine art.
Art took a back seat for a while as I went through a long faze of having a ‘Proper job’ this never sat quite right with me and I bounced around various vocations. My background ranges from advertising executive to barista.
It all kicked off again for me after becoming a mum to 2 very bouncy creative girls. I loved nurturing their creativity and making with them. So I started making for myself again. This lead to a lot of commission work but I was still missing the kick I’d get from encouraging others.
To my delight I was employed to teach art classes for early years children at a number of nurseries. Children are so creative, free and brave artistically, their spirit helped fuel my own. Little did I know all this experience was leading me to art-ful. My work here, combines all of my previous experience so that I fit art-ful and art-ful fits me.
art-ful is my second home, my sanctuary and a safe place. It’s somewhere that creativity is in the atmosphere, through the amazing music to the colourful interior.
art-ful makes me feel comfortable and inspired. It’s a bit silly, a bit naughty and a little provocative. I feel like I can do anything here. I’m a big believer in accessible art – It’s something that should be available to everyone.
Almost everyone that walks through our doors says ‘I’m not creative’ yet 2 hours later they’re beaming with pride at the amazing thing they’ve just created! We can’t all have lives that allow us to create all the time, but because of art-ful, we all have a space that we can come and blow off some creative steam. Long live art-ful!
